✍️What does life drawing do for your art practice?
Marketa: Life Drawing is so many things together for me.
it is relaxation/meditation, intense practise, a fun afternoon, all of that together.
it's a place where I feel freedom to experiment with different techniques, a place where I can get advice, a place where we share our own love for art and creation with kindred spirits.
I remember the first time I went. I was feeling shy, and nervous. I had never done this before and I didn't know if I would be any good at it. I felt nervous, because I thought if I'm not good at this, I will look like a "peeping tom"!
But the atmosphere was so friendly, I soon lost all the worries.
After just this one session my drawing skills improved significantly! I couldn't believe how much easier it was to draw a figure out of my mind.
✍️ What is your experience of Life Drawing Bangor?
I attend mostly on the Saturday sessions once a month, because of other work commitments meaning I'm not free on Monday.
Every session is just a pure joy. We listen to to great music, we have interesting chat, we draw, and have a lovely cup of tea and biscuits! What else is there to wish for? 🙂
